Mercedes-Benz AMG SLS Powered Electricity Origin Germany


Now, the German car manufacturer has really brought a prototype model cars in tangible form, called SLS AMG E-Cells, the Detroit Auto Show 2011.

The Mercedes engineers replace the standard engine 6300 cc V8-powered AMG 571HP SLS with four electric motors are placed near the wheel so that it becomes a model four-wheel drive.

Who says electric cars can not take a drag, hill with a total of four electric motors, SLS AMG E-Cell has a power of 525 horsepower, and torque of 880 Nm.

With the power of the SLS AMG E-cell can run from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.7 seconds.

Mercedes claims that the gullwing-door car with electric drive that is part of corporate strategy entitled "AMG Performance 2012" which aims to continue to reduce fuel consumption and emissions.

Remarkably, the electricity stored in lithium-ion battery capacity of 400 volts could also be coupled with braking. The battery was placed in front of the firewall, and behind the seats, in order to balance the weight distribution so that the vehicle remains stable.
